The Agency Division - R.Y. Gaitonde & Company, continues to be an area of high growth in the group. It has a track record of over 40 years in procuring raw material and Machinery for the Tanning and shoe industry in India and abroad.

One of the noteworthy features of this Division is its warehousing capacity. This was initially set up in 1968 to import and store leather. It gave clients in India an opportunity, to try sample pallets and if satisfied, to buy more products. The Agency division also has a bonded warehouse, which stocks essential spares and consumables for the tannery and shoe industry.

The Agency division imports raw, pickled, wet blue and finished leather direct from sources in Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Taiwan, South Africa, Europe and USA. Most of the suppliers are top quality abattoirs. These sources form a great reservoir to the Indian product manufacturers who are able to rely on consistent quality of supply.

The Agency division also specializes in merchant export of commodities and products, which are resourced from reputed suppliers in India.
